Sam is a Trainee Patent Attorning working in the IT & Engineering department, working towards becoming a qualified attorney. He is involved in the drafting and prosecution of European and UK patent applications for clients ranging from start-ups to large multinational corporations.
Sam is an experienced pole vaulter and outside of the office he enjoys competing across the country and training internationally. He has also recently taken up gymnastics.

Sam graduated from Durham University with a first class degree in Physics. In his final year he undertook a group project designing and building a space situational awareness system for a leading defence company. Additionally, his dissertation was on the topic of stellar radiation and its impact on biochemical processes in exoplanetary atmospheres.
Sam joined GJE in September 2024.
