Luca is a European Trade Mark Attorney with more than a decade’s experience in brand protection and trade mark portfolios management.
Thanks to his work experience with top tier international IP law firms and his multicultural background, Luca has an in-depth knowledge of European and International trade mark law and practice and can assist clients in English, German, and Italian. Through the years he has assisted clients across industries with a particular focus on large scale filing programmes, assignment projects, opposition and cancellation proceedings, and multi-jurisdictional trade mark disputes.
Additionally, Luca is an active member of our designs team, and advises clients on filing strategy, prosecution, and enforcement of designs in the European Union.
Outside of the office, Luca enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with his friends and family. He also has a strong interest in music, foreign languages, and literature.

Luca graduated from Universitá degli Studi di Pavia (Italy) with a degree in Modern Languages and Cultures, with honours. Luca also attended a Master’s degree course in Pure and Applied Linguistics at the same University, and additionally has a 5th year diploma in Flute from Conservatorio di Musica G. Nicolini di Piacenza (Italy).
Luca joined the trade mark profession in 2009, completed his mandatory legal clerkship at a major Italian IP firm in Milan, and qualified as Italian and European Trade Mark Attorney in 2015. He moved to Germany in 2017 and gained experience in large trade mark portfolios management at a top tier German IP firm, where he was heading one of the legal departments. Luca joined GJE in 2021 and was promoted to partner in 2024.
