Charlotte Blakiston
Trainee Patent Attorney
Charlotte is a Trainee Patent Attorney in the Chemistry and Life Sciences group, working towards full qualification. She is involved in the drafting and prosecution of European and UK patent applications.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys travelling, horse riding and yoga.
Charlotte’s areas of specialisms are:
- Polymer and materials chemistry
- Pharmaceuticals
- Catalytic processes
- Consumer food technology
Charlotte graduated from the University of Bath with a First Class Masters Degree in Chemistry. As part of her Masters degree, Charlotte completed a year long placement at a multinational chemical company where she worked in the materials synthesis research group. Here, she gained exposure to various business sectors including catalysis, battery materials and sustainable technologies. Her final year research project focused on lanthanide-based metal organic frameworks for use in wastewater treatment.
Charlotte joined GJE in September 2024.
