What attracted you to GJE?
Before GJE I didn’t have any experience in Intellectual Property. When researching the firm, I came across the core values, otherwise known as the 5 Cs. These really stood out to me, and since working here, I have realised that they are nothing but true.
How did you find our recruitment process?
I was kept up to date the entire time, and during my interviews, I was put at ease. From the get-go, I knew that GJE was going to be a friendly place to work. I was so excited to kick start my career when I accepted the role. I’m happy I went for it.
What do you enjoy the most about your role?
As a Patent and Trade Mark Records Administrator, I am getting to know the cycle of patents, designs and trade marks from the beginning till the end. I am surrounded by a brilliant team who make my role enjoyable. I am learning so much every day and keeping busy. In the near future, I will have the opportunity to do the CIPA and CITMA courses, which really excites me and will allow me to further progress in my role.
How have you found the wellbeing initiatives at GJE?
GJE is an inclusive workplace. The firm puts on wellbeing weeks, Diversity & Inclusion induction training, and the Social Committee work hard to put together social events like the quiz night and the summer and Christmas parties. These events allow you to get to know your colleagues on a non-work basis. The business prides itself on employees having a good work-life balance. I have really enjoyed this side of GJE.
What would you say to someone applying to GJE?
I would definitely recommend GJE, the people are great, and the work is interesting. It is a brilliant firm to work for, there is no such thing as a silly question, and I feel completely supported in my role.
