Michaela covers the paralegal position for the firm’s trade mark team in Munich. She has extensive trade mark experience, including involvement in all phases of EU, UK and foreign trade mark prosecution, as well as EU and UK opposition and cancellation actions.
She supports clients and attorneys in assignment processes and provides cost estimates and advice on filing strategies to fit the client’s needs. She also has an extensive knowledge of the handling procedures of patents (national and international), utility models as well as design applications (national, EU and Swiss). Michaela supports attorneys with procedures before the EUIPO, UKIPO as well as the German Patent and Trademark Office for either trade mark, design or patent cases. Following Brexit, Michaela is also assisting UK attorneys with filing before the EUIPO in any design proceedings.
Michaela joined GJE in January 2020 with ten years of experience as a paralegal and office manager at another IP law firm in Munich. Having passed the paralegal course in September 2021, Michaela is now also a CITMA paralegal.
When not at work, Michaela spends most of her time with her best friends and her dog, and also enjoys going to the gym and travelling.
